ふじようちえんの隣に増設された英会話塾。
ケヤキの大木に巻きついている建物である。
建物の高さは５ｍに過ぎないが床は７枚。
やっと子供が通れる高さの天井高が積層する空間である。
空間の性質上床は極薄ではなければならないので、鉄板にリブがついた鉄板モノコック構造。
”Ring Around a Tree"は現場を訪問したピータークック卿による命名。
英語の歌Ring Around a Rosyに因んだものである。

Tezuka Architects created an amazing space of education for the Fuji Kindergarten of Japan. With Japan and its typhoons being a known natural disaster of the region, the design was centered around an unlikely culprit. A giant, old zelkova tree that had survived the elements and a strong typhoon more than 50 years ago. The kindergarten is a round space that is centered around the natural element, with a focus being on the exterior integration and freedom of design. Classrooms with no furniture and the ability to express any and everything through nature and imagination. An extremely thin metal frame supports the space, and miniature lightbulbs adorn the tree for a symbol of summer.
